LEICESTER'S NDL Grand Final/KO Cup Final double-header was once again postponed at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park on Sunday.
Unfortunately, conditions proved unsuitable for racing despite a massive effort being put in by the track staff following the heavy rain of Saturday evening.
Riders from the Lion Cubs and Oxford agreed to test the track prior to their match, but there were several incidents with Tom Spencer, Ashton Boughen and Max James all coming to grief.
James especially was fortunate to walk away with no serious injuries after a spectacular crash when he lifted on the exit of turn two.
The meeting was postponed shortly afterwards, and Leicester apologise to supporters from all clubs present for being unable to stage the event as scheduled.
We will provide further information on the status of the fixtures as soon as possible, whilst the Lion Cubs are due to visit Oxford on Tuesday (October 31) in what is now the first leg of the NDL Grand Final.
